The Problem
Concord Self Storage located in Concord, NH needed an overhead door to close off an access point of an existing loading dock area.
However, their main issue was the limited space due to the sloped roof and low ceiling height of the warehouse.
Originally the client was looking to have a sectional door placed in the loading dock area, but due to tight spacing overhead, a steel roll up door looked to be the better alternative.
This is due to the fact that steel roll up doors take up less area around the access point, especially when in the open position. Rather than a sectional door that makes use of brackets for holding itself in place above the access point, a steel roll up door makes use of a barrel that rolls up into creating less space over the access point when open.
The Solution
We sent a sales rep and project manager out to the building to look at what was going on, in order to get a better idea of how we could help.
After assessing the situation and realizing a steel roll up door was the better solution rather than a sectional door, we made the decision to order a Cookson steel roll up door.
We chose Cookson because of their wide variety of overhead doors, quality, and efficiency. These are all important benefits to every project we take on, so it made it an easy choice for the company’s application.
Our install technicians were then dispatched to install the steel roll up door to close off the existing access point of the loading dock area.
This installation allowed the company to maintain control, safety, and efficiency at their loading dock area while getting materials in and out of the building in an efficient manner.
In conclusion, the company was satisfied with the door that was installed. Cookson provided a quality overhead door solution that the customer will have for years to come!
