VLMs and carousels are automated storage solutions designed to bring items directly to the user. These automated solutions are perfect at maximizing storage efficiency, increasing organization, creating an easy method for inventory picking, and taking full advantage of your facility’s vertical space. VLMs, otherwise known as vertical lift modules, offer a vertical picking system that retrieves items and brings them down to an ergonomic access area for the user. Carousels make use of a Ferris wheel-like system where items are rotated automatically to optimal retrieval height for the user.
