The Problem:
A client in Hooksett, NH ordered a machine from overseas. When it arrived, accessories such as the faceting plates, guarding, and access stairs were missing.
Without these plates, the machine would then damage the freshly poured concrete in the new facility and be unsafe for use. Without the stairs, the machine would not abide by proper safety standards as this machine takes up a large section of a new 90,000 sq. ft. facility.
The client was in search of a solution for someone who could produce a large number of plates, as well as mobile access stairs and guarding, so they can use their machine properly with minimal delays.
The Solution
Our solution was two-fold. Our machine shop produced over 800 steel cut plates utilizing a plasma cutter. This would ensure clean and smooth edges. Our machine shop also cut holes to match the machine’s milling for safety components.
Our fabrication shop handled the mobile access stairs. The fabrication team put together customized stairs and handrails, along with fabricating guards. The stairs and guarding were then painted safety yellow for a clean, finished look.
In the end, we were able to satisfy our client’s needs by not only completing this massive order without any issues but also delivering it ahead of schedule!
There are more updates to come from both our machine and fabrication shops continuing to help this Hooksett client with their new facility.
