When analyzing processes in the facility some managers may find there are areas that are difficult to access. This can be anything from spanning conveyor systems, maneuvering around pipes and vents, or accessing certain elevated areas.
These areas may require access for facility staff to perform repairs, maintenance, or even just a more efficient way of getting from point A to point B. A high level of safety is essential for staff looking to access these areas as often times dangerous machinery or hazardous items will be in the vicinity.
A Solution in Wildeck’s LadderLink™
In order to provide this access in a safe and efficient manner Wildeck has created its LadderLink™ modular access system.
This solution is comprised of pre-engineered steel components that are cost-effective and can be configured to virtually any access solution such as work platforms, crossovers, and stair systems.
Each component is designed to fit to one another in order to create a complete system. These systems can be used to navigate those hard-to-reach areas or complicated access zones in your facility keeping your staff safe and efficient.
There are thousands of available configurations to fit eve the most specific of access requirements!
Getting an In-Depth Understanding
The LadderLink™ allows for in-depth product design that can be moved or reconfigured as future facility or production growth occurs.
This solution is comprised of pre-engineered steel components including:
- Platform Decks
- Towers / Supports
- Guard Rails
- Stairs
- Access Ladders
Single platform decks’ standard dimensions are 48” length by 48” width, while double platform decks consist of the same length but have a 98” width. There are custom length and width options, however making use of standard sizes will get your project to your facility and installed faster. These decks also come with standard diamond plating or can be fit with a safety (see-through) grating deck as an additional option.
Towers are simply made to the desired height you require for your solution all the way up to 120”. These supports are easy to install and dismantle making the overall project a fast and easy process!
Guard rail and kick plates are designed to span across all platform deck units. These safety components are triple rail complying with OSHA Cal-OSHA, and IBC standards.
Stair components for the LadderLink™ are designed to the specific deck height of the solution. Widths for the stair treads come in 36”, 42”, and 48” options. Stairs are shipped knocked down in order to reduce shipping costs and increase the speed of their on-site assembly!
Access ladders also make a good option for the LadderLink™ and have a choice of vertical or ships ladder options.
