The Challenge
As Eversource continues to grow within New England, their team was presented with an opportunity to reopen the building in Haverhill, NH that was not used for seven years. This will help Eversource to expand its services into Northeast New Hampshire.
The intended purpose of the building was to serve as a warehouse used for storing storm materials and tools. Upon the revival of the property, it was clear that significant improvements would be necessary to make this facility fully operational.
The Solution
Having collaborated with BODE in the past, Eversource trusted in our ability to transform their existing Haverhill location.
Despite our limited experience within the Haverhill area, we approached the challenge directly and constructed a comprehensive project package for Eversource that acknowledged every area of attention.
This package included site work, well systems, septic, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. In addition, we provided and installed new appliances, water conditioning systems, exterior siding finishes, converted to LED lighting, and conducted a thorough interior/exterior cleaning.
“BODE made sure that the project was thought out clearly and the work was completed in an efficient manner.”

Driveway Site Work
BEFORE
The main driveway leading up to the building would experience constant flooding. This was due to the way the path was laid out, and the elevation, which made it an easy place for water to pool up after a storm.

AFTER
Our solution to this was adding a crown, creating a high point in the center of the driveway, to help drain surface water out to the sides and off of the pathway. We added additional gravel, compacted it, and added a runoff path at the driveway edge to drain water further down and out of the way.

Site Work Phase:
Exterior Fence Site Work
BEFORE
The exterior fence had a lot of overgrown bushes and vines. The area within was overgrown in general due to the lack of upkeep over the years. There were also materials and old pallets within the fenced area that needed to be removed.

AFTER
We trimmed and cut the over-growth, got rid of the materials and pallets within the fenced-in area, and finished up with basic landscaping to make it as good as new.

Building Exterior Site Work
BEFORE
Much like the fenced area, there was a lot of overgrowth on and around the building. The septic tank was completely covered by trees and bushes. There was also a broken exhaust fan and an old AC unit that were both in need of replacement. The building also had sections of siding missing or damaged.
In the backyard, there was also major overgrowth hiding covering the entire area and hiding the well.

AFTER
First, we cleaned up and removed all of the overgrowth from the building, septic area, and backyard. We then installed a new AC unit and exhaust fan. some new siding and Azek trim were implemented to the sides of the building to give it a much-needed clean look, and we also tested the well system once we were able to locate it after clearing the overgrowth.

Interior Building Renovation Phase:
Warehouse Renovation
BEFORE
The warehouse had outdated fluorescent lighting, a stained and dirty floor, a broken water heater, and a water conditioning system that wasn’t up to code. The bathroom needed an update and the two overhead doors both required preventative maintenance and some replacements.

AFTER
We replaced all of the fluorescent lighting with LED lights. We then performed all the necessary preventative maintenance work on the doors as well as adding the needed accessories. The water heater was replaced along with the water conditioning system to bring it back up to code. Bathroom appliances were then replaced to create an updated and clean bathroom.
Once all the replacements and fixes were made we power-washed the floor and implemented electrical boxes, and even some BODE bollards to help protect the space created for personnel. We also added an ice machine for staff to use.
We also added cord reels to the ceiling to connect electricity to the trucks while in the bays.

Interior Building Renovation Phase:
Office Restoration
BEFORE
Much like the warehouse, the office space lighting consisted of fluorescent lighting fixtures and the bathroom appliances needed an update. The carpets were full of grime and dirt, old thermostats needed replacing, and the old air handler wasn’t working.

AFTER
Deep cleaning of the carpets was done to make them look good as new, LED lighting was put in to replace the fluorescent lights, new thermostats were added as well as a new air handler, and new bathroom appliances were installed.
We noticed that some baseboard covers needed replacing so we went ahead and replaced them with new covers as needed!
